Welcome to the New Ohio Taekwondo Association
Encouraging Taekwondo Excellence in Ohio
The Ohio Taekwondo Association serves as the official State Organization for USATKD, the National Governing Body for Sport Taekwondo, under the United States Olympic Committee. Ohio Taekwondo Association's mission is “to develop interest and participation throughout the State of Ohio in the sports and martial arts aspects of Taekwondo and to promote the growth and development of Ohio Athletes, Coaches, and Referees who participate in state, national and international competitions.”
As part of our ongoing effort to strengthen athlete and referee engagement within the Ohio Taekwondo Association, we are now accepting nominations and recommendations for the following positions:
Athlete Representative
Referee Director
Both positions play an important role in representing their respective groups and ensuring that their voices are reflected in the association’s decisions, programs, and future initiatives.
Nomination Guidelines:
Each nominee must meet the qualifications outlined in the OTA bylaws and the respective position description.
Nominations may be submitted by qualified members, masters, or self-nominated candidates.
A brief Letter of Intent should be included, stating the candidate’s qualifications and commitment to serve the full term.
Please submit nominations or recommendations to: officers@ohiotaekwondo.org
After reviewing all submissions, the Nominating Committee will verify eligibility and present approved candidates for election.
Your participation and recommendations are greatly appreciated as we continue to build a stronger, more connected Taekwondo community across Ohio.
Thank you for your time, dedication, and continued leadership.
Respectfully,
Grandmaster Chungkeun Lee
